Nepal and Sri Lanka last week signed the revised Air Service Agreement (ASA) to pave the way to launch direct air service between Kathmandu and Colombo. The ASA was signed after a hiatus of some ten years.
Secretary at Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation Ramchandra Man Singh and secretary at the Port and Aviation Ministry of Sri Lanka signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments.
The ASA will allow the operation of 14 flights per week between the two destinations.
