Society of Adventure Tour Operators´ Association-Nepal (SATO-Nepal) has expressed serious concern over the cabinet decision to allow only group trekkers accompanied by environment and liaison officers to restricted areas along the northern border.

Issuing a press statement, SATO-Nepal said the government earlier had annulled the provision of liaison officers following repeated from private sector.

The organization has demanded the government to immediately annul the new provision to encourage private sector, keeping in view the upcoming Nepal Tourism Year 2011 campaign.
